FullSizeRender ReducedLong-time Boomerocity viewers already know that we’re big fans of Exile here. I’ve been a fan ever since “Kiss You All Over” first came out and the band is still alive, kickin’ and touring today.

As you may already know, over the past couple of years Boomerocity has had the privilege of interviewing acouple of the guys from the band: J.P. Pennington and Sonny Lemaire. We are now excited to add to that list of Exile luminaries interviewed, Marlon Hargis.

He's one of the original members of the band and next year - 2023 - will mark their 60th year as a band! Can you believe that? That just doesn't even seem possible, but it's true. They've come out with new Christmas single titled, “Lovin’ Little Christmas Night,” which gave me the opportunity to talk to Marlon.

Full disclosure: Marlon and I have been Facebook friends for a while, but this is the first time I'v ever got to interview him and so it was wonderful to finally be able to talk to Marlon. We had such a great time and I kept him on the phone forever - it was just a fun chat. I think y’all will find it to be fun as well. You can sit there as if you're sitting there with us and enjoy the laughter and the comments about other bands in the music business, collecting records, and all that kind of stuff. It really is a very fun interview.

Please watch this to the last second. Then share it with your friends. You can keep up with the latest with Exile at their website (here) as well as on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

If you prefer streaming their music rather than buying CDs, then you can listen to Exile on Amazon Music, Apple, Spotify, and YouTube Music.

About Exile:
Exile formed in 1963 looking to play small clubs in Richmond, Kentucky, but managed to top both the pop and country charts during their nearly 60-year-long career. Their most successful hit, “Kiss You All Over” spent four weeks at the top of Billboard’s pop chart in 1978. In the early 1980’s Exile started to focus on country music. During their run on the country charts Exile has successfully had ten No. 1 singles including “I Don’t Want To Be A Memory” and “Give Me One More Chance.” The hit song "Kiss You All Over" was used in the 1996 Adam Sandler movie Happy Gilmore and in the 2006 film Employee of the Month. They have toured with acts including Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, The Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers and The Judds. The 5 original Exile members re-formed in 2008 and continue to tour today. Current members of the band include J.P. Pennington, Les Taylor, Sonny LeMaire, Marlon Hargis and Steve Goetzman. 2023 will celebrate 60 years for the band and the 45th anniversary of the hit song “Kiss You All Over.”
