Photo by Randy PattersonKnoxville loves Boz Scaggs and it appears that the feelings are mutual based on Wednesday night’s show at the historic Bijou Theatre. The appreciative crowd – including a female having enjoyed her first beer and yelling, “I love you, Boz” – warmly and enthusiastically welcomed Boz and cheered each and every tune he and the band delivered to the near-capacity crowd.
Scaggs gave the crowd exactly what they wanted and then some. Of course, tunes like Lido Shuffle, Lowdown, Look What You’ve Done To Me, and JoJo were included but Boz reached way back to gems like Loan Me A Dime.
The entire band was tight and Scaggs left no doubt that he still has his chops both vocally and on guitar, tearing the thing up throughout the evening.
If you’re a Boz Scaggs fan and enjoy a memory-filled concert, then you’ll most definitely want to catch Boz on this tour. You’ll love him . . . even without a beer.
