The Gift of Christmas with Trace Adkins & Friends

The 2019 Christmas season has kicked up a little bit early in Nashville, Tennessee with the presentation of “The Gift of Christmas with Trace Adkins & Friends” at the famous Wildhorse Saloon in downtown. Tonight, I caught the second show of the series wherein Trace performed to a nearly packed house.

The show is an intimate presentation of Adkins’ favorite Christmas songs that are mostly on his Christmas (not “holiday”, as he told the crowd) album, The King’s Gift. In between songs, he shared some of the history behind some of the Christmas classics. Doing so provided a depth to the background and meaning of those cherished tunes. Fans of Trace Adkins will most definitely want to catch this intimate Christmas show.

The musicianship was stellar, with some of the best musicians in Nashville (and, by default, the world) playing behind Trace. Of special note was guitarist, Michael Springs.

Un-freakin’-believable. Just saying.
