Learning To Dance
Jack Tempchin
Label: Blue Elan
Review Date: September 13, 2015
“Learning To Dance” is the follow up to it’s EP teaser, “Room To Run” and delivers even more great, original tunes from the man who brought us such great hits as the great Eagles hit, “Peaceful Easy Feeling”.
In fact, “Peaceful Easy Feeling” is exactly what the listener gets while listening to “Learning To Dance”. Each and every tune takes us to places of peace and solitude as Jack sings about love, life, peace and contentment.
This is one of those albums that you’ll just have to listen to yourself to truly “get” because – like life and love – and I find myself at a genuinely rare loss of words to articulate the beauty of this amazing body of work by Tempchin.
That’s the honest to goodness truth. “Learning To Dance” is that beautiful.
Each and every song caused me to think deeply, introspectively about everything Jack sings about. I literally hung on very word he sang.
Buy it and find out for yourself and see if you can find the words to describe it. If you do, then please let me know. In the mean time, I'm still listening to "Learning To Dance" . . . and just may learn to dance, as well. Who knows?
