Guitar virtuoso, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal has released his 10th CD entitled “Little Brother Is Watching.”
If you didn’t already know, Bumblefoot is one of the most prolific rock songwriters/guitarists today and “Little Brother” is solid evidence of this. The album is an eccentric, upbeat collection of modern epic rock with haunting melodies, huge choruses and witty lyrics about life in the digital age and beyond. Specifically, his own life and coming to terms with what we all face - beginnings, endings, and moving on.
The album was composed, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Bumblefoot at his studio in New Jersey, and also features drummer Dennis Leeflang and a crowd of 100 fans stomping, chanting and singing backing vocals recorded at a listening party in New York.
Each and every time is intricately written and performed as well as masterfully produced and recorded. With each and every listen, we hear something new, something intriguing, and/or something hysterically funny in the lyrics. So brilliant is everything about “Little Brother Is Watching” that, in the unlikely event that reincarnation is a reality, then Bumblefoot is Mozart back alive and well in the new millennia.
Obviously, Bumblefoot fans will want this album, but so will GNR fans and rock guitar enthusiasts who love brilliantly written and masterfully performed guitar work.
Yeah, it’s that good.
