The Day & The Dark
Kris Bell
Label: Kris Bell
Review Date: August 16, 2015

It’s been awhile since Boomerocity friend’s last album, “Turn It On, Turn It Up,” (five years, to be close to exact). With “The Day & The Dark,” Kris has shown us that it’s been well worth the wait.

This eleven track treasure chest of great, pedal-to-the-metal rock and roll will grab you by the throat (okay, ears, but throat sounds cooler) and  won’t let go until it has beat your ear drums into submission – and it will.

From the opening riffs of the powerful, hard driving “Bad Muthuh” to the down and dirty, crawling tune, “Take It All,” Kris Bell shows the world what kind of stuff he’s made of.

In addition to “Take It All,” the other two randomly chosen Boomerocity favorites are:

• This Cross – acoustic, introspective, soul-barring, Bell puts it all out there for everybody to see.

• I Hope You’re Proud – Loud and grungy with some amazing, searing guitar work by Kris, this tune, alone, is worth the price of the whole CD.

Kris Bell is someone that you should give a good, long, hard listen to – both through “The Day & The Dark” as well as all of his previous work to date.

He’s that good.
