If you have followed Boomerocity much at all, you already know that I absolutely love the blues. I'm not an expert on it, but I “knows what I’s likes.” And I can tell you that I really likes Colin James. He is a phenomenal blues artist and I've been following him for quite a while and have wanted to interview him for quite a while. The opportunity has finally presented itself as our schedules finally synched up to where we were able to have a chat.
The main purpose was to talk about his tour kicking off with the legendary Buddy Guy. Can you imagine touring with Buddy Guy? Colin has been friends with Buddy for many years, so we got together to talk about that, his latest album (Open Road – order it by clicking on the album cover to the right of the press release, below), some of the people he's known in the past - especially Stevie Ray Vaughan. All in all, just a great conversation that I'll know you'll enjoy listening in on.

Colin James to Hit the Open Road as Special Guest on Upcoming Buddy Guy US Tour Dates

And now Colin will begin his first dates in support of Open Road as special guest for the upcoming US tour dates by legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy.
Colin James is effusive in his excitement about joining Buddy Guy on this tour. “I am seriously looking forward to touring with the great Buddy Guy on all these American dates,” Colin says. “It will be so amazing to be able to see and hear one of the greatest of the second-generation Chicago blues legends, night after night.
