Kentucky Headhunters fans are gonna love this interview. It’s with band co-founder and lead guitarist, Greg Martin. Of course, the Kentucky Headhunters are known for their blend of Southern rock, country rock, rock n’ roll, and the blues and serving it up with the highest of quality for over 35 years.
I’ve seen Greg perform (without the Headhunters) a couple of times over the years at the Dallas International Guitar Festival. During one of those performances, it was with Phil Keaggy and Rick Derringer. It was amazing! Consequently, I’ve long had him on my list of people to interview and it finally happened. The band recently released their latest album, “That's A Fact Jack,” so it gave me the opportunity to interview him.
We also talked about his good friend (and amazing guitarist), Phil Keaggy, Rick Derringer, others, and about his radio show, Lowdown Hoedown.
It was a lot of fun.
If you aren't familiar with the Kentucky Headhunters, you need to be because they're a great, great band who is underappreciated, I think, in a lot of areas, but they have come out with some great music, and this new album is certainly no exception. In fact, I think it's their best.
So, please give the interview, below, your attention. It’s long but it’s laid-back and you’ll feel like you’re sitting right there with us, taking part in the conversation. After you’ve watched it, share it with your friends and, if you haven’t already bought your copy, order one by clicking on the album cover on this page.
