Deep Purple
Label: earMUSIC
Review Date: December 13, 2021 Turning To Crime
With aftershocks still being felt from “Whoosh!” – Deep Purple’s chart-leading album from last year, the legendary band is blissfully sucker-punching fans with the release of their new album Turning To Crime (earMUSIC), produced by Bob Ezrin.
Whoosh! is Deep Purple’s 21st studio album and was inundated with critical accolades by critics the world over. Turning To Crime is the band’s first LP that consists of tracks they didn’t write but, in fact, other artists had previously recorded.
Boomerocity’s favorite from the album is Deep Purple’s treatment of the Creem classic, “White Room”. That cover alone is worth the price of the entire album.
Yeah. It’s that good.
